TAMAGAWA VIETNAM CO., LTD Inauguration ceremony for a new plant in Vietnam

TAMAGAWA SEIKI CO., LTD. (Head Office: Iida City, Nagano, Japan; President: Tadanori Matsuo) is a group company and TAMAGAWA VIETNAM CO., LTD (TAMAGAWA VIETNAM CO., LTD (TVC) established in October 2023) held a groundbreaking ceremony on May 17, 2024 at the Amatacity Halong Industrial Park in Vietnam, where a new plant is scheduled to be constructed.
The ceremony was attended by guests from the Government of Quang Ninh Province, companies from Amata City Halong, and about 60 others. A Vietnamese style groundbreaking ceremony was held to pray for the safety of the construction work and the development and prosperity of the company. The site area of the plant is 6.3 hectares. In the first phase, 1 ha factory building will be constructed, with production scheduled to begin in March 2025.

TVC will produce Singlsyn, a sensor that detects the rotation angle of drive motors in electric vehicles (BEVs) and hybrid vehicles (HEVs), from pressing to assembly, to respond the demand for environmentally friendly vehicles that are increasing worldwide.
In addition, the Amata City Halong Industrial Park, where TVC is located, is a special economic zone and has the highest level of corporate tax benefits in Vietnam, as well as various costs such as construction costs, labor costs, electricity costs, and the import of equipment and materials. We will strengthen the price competitiveness of our products and aim to improve our productivity and profitability through in-house production.
Additionally, by providing TVC with management functions for partner companies and EMS that are also expanding into Vietnam, production management and quality control will be strengthened.
In the future, we will expand the factory to three buildings in the second and third phases to further increase the production capacity of “Singlsyn” and expand the scale of TVC’s business with a view to producing FA-related products in the future as well.
Quang Ninh Province, where the Amata City Ha Long Industrial Park is located, is about a 3-hour drive from Noi Bai International Airport (Hanoi City) via the Hai Phong Expressway. It is also located approximately 25 km from Hai Phong, Vietnam’s third largest city.
The location is highly convenient in terms of logistics as it is connected to international ports and airports by expressway.
