We successfully combined Fiber Optical Rotary Joint (FORJ) for optical data transmission and slipring for electrical transmission into one unit as Integrated Fiber Optical Rotary Joint.
Self-Alignment Mechanism which we newly developed is utilized in order to minimize insertion loss of optical data (image data) and keep it for long term operation.
The development of i-FORJ started for surveillance camera which installs 4K video camera. And we could achieve a half size of original model in order to apply other application.
i-FORJ also complies with MIL-STD-810 specification and good solution for Electro Magnetic Interreference.
i-FORJ is expected for surveillance cameras, crane cameras, industrial robots, remote surgery robots and various optical data transmission equipment.
4K video surveillance camera with i-FORJ can provide excellent 4K video image for monitoring flood, tsunami, volcano, weather and traffic jam.
The development of i-FORJ started in 2018 and finished 1st prototype model in 2020. Furthermore, we were pursuing smaller size and finally reached to the compact model in 2019. And the production of compact model with MIL-STD-810 compliant started this July 2024.
The sales price of i-FORJ with MIL-STD-810 compliant is targeted less than US$13,000.
